It is not a story while you are living it. It is only a story once you go back and recount it. You need a storyteller. When you recount a day or event in your life YOU DRAMATIZE IT. You don't tell everybody you dropped your toothbrush and had to pick it up. Documentaries are edited. Watching an unedited tape of someone's day is not a story. When you choose to tell the story, you keep the important bits, but even more importantly, there are many many more days in your life that DO NOT MAKE INTERESTING STORIES. : This is so, so wrong, on many different levels. It changes them by either making them better or worse. There's usually a reason that the alternate ending wasn't chosen. Given the events up until the ending, there is always one that best fits the storyteller's intent.
