You are showing such a narrow : understanding of reality here. : I live a choose your own adventure every day, dude. And it's not terrible. :) : (If you want to move this back to movies, there are plenty of films - good : films, even! - that have been made (and shown!) with multiple endings - : for the most part, this does NOT dilute the stories being told, it simply : CHANGES them.) It changes them by either making them better or worse. There's usually a reason that the alternate ending wasn't chosen. Given the events up until the ending, there is always one that best fits the storyteller's intent.
