That's because, strangely, it's usually harder to stop the 2nd phase than it is the 1st phase. Spire's 2nd phase, unless you're really on the ball, is really hard to defend. A symmetrical map could work in theory if the spawns and weapon drops are set up right, but since it's an asymmetrical gametype it'd be pretty weird to do it on a symmetrical map. : I'm going to be negative about it here and say that I honestly don't think
I'd be surprised and appalled if Invasion wasn't in Halo 4 - considering, ya know, it's easily the best non-slayer gametype and I think it's better than Slayer anyway. : I would like to suggest some kind of compromise in the scoring system.

If you really wanted to do away with draws in Invasion you'd do it based on defense time since it is the fairest and easiest:
I'm not sure doing away with draws to that degree is something Invasion really needs TBH though. However, I will be talking about a similar idea for another gametype in a later section of the article.
