In Response To: Wow. Just wow. *SP* (Avateur) : The Duel was awesome. I really, really enjoyed that one. I liked The : Babysitter, but it didn't really do anything for me beyond "liking : it." I loved the art style, the music, the story, the drama, the : totally bad ass Arbiter, and the way Sanghelios was depicted in The Duel. : Not too sure about that female Elite, but whatever. I'm not going to let one
The art style was a complete killer for me. It was like the TV screen was fogged up during the entire episode. I don't understand why they did this. The Ghost in the Shell series had my favorite visuals out of any anime. I had high hopes. That art style helped mask the female elite's mandibles and carried along the intent to make her more ..human? I'm not sure what they were trying to do, but I didn't like it. It looked like a human female with a pointy chin and braids. Samurai elites? This fits into the same category as babysitter's spiked hair. You can't take the Japanese out of anime, I guess. The story didn't grip me.. I'm sorry Avateur, I fast-forwarded. The fogged up TV, samurai elites, and slow pacing didn't hold my attention. I'm glad you enjoyed it, though. I guess that tells me there was plenty of meat, I just didn't like the flavor.
