: The Duel was awesome. I really, really enjoyed that one. I liked The : Babysitter, but it didn't really do anything for me beyond "liking : it." I loved the art style, the music, the story, the drama, the : totally bad ass Arbiter, and the way Sanghelios was depicted in The Duel. : Not too sure about that female Elite, but whatever. I'm not going to let one : tiny thing ruin what I felt was an amazing short story. I can't believe it : was only 14 minutes, because it definitely felt like it was longer. It : really did a good job of immersing me within the story being told. I hope : the rest are a lot like this one. Too good. Just too good. If she could be de-canonized then I would be happy. What would people accept? The art here has various depictions of female Elites. They tend to be smaller than the males, have feminine hips, and some have clothes over were their breasts might be. The smaller size suggests that the males are more aggressive and may compete for females. This may explain why we don't see female Elites on the front lines. It fits with the games. It is also familiar and expected if we think of Elites as being just like us. The child bearing hips suggests that they produce young through the pelvic canal, these young are either large eggs or have big heads. The images are beautiful and look feminine but do we want Elites to be this ordinary? The strips over the breast areas just avoids the question: are Elites mammals or not? My preference is for Elites to be less like us but the Hunters are alien and, perhaps, the Drones too, to a lesser extent. What do people think? Do you care? Are Elites alien enough? Do they need to be fairly human for you to relate to them? Would you accept a female character that wasn't so anthropomorphic? How alien could Elites be? They are influenced by Geiger's alien and the Predator alien; they are a fusion of the two. If their biology followed then they may reproduce like the Ichneumonidae; they may inject their eggs into paralyzed hosts or they lay eggs on them and then the larvae burrow in and eat their hosts from the inside. Could you still relate to Elites if they reproduced this way?
