As far as the fan works of both Atomic Chocograph or Etoli (both friends of mine) goes, neither depict their leet fems as having any form of mammary glands, so not avoiding any questions, just a choice of clothing styling by the artist. And in this example even the clothing stye between a male and female was similar, leaving the differences down to a slender build. Fan depictions of course, but not unbelievable ones. At the same time, there comes a point where one can simply try too hard to make something 'alien', whatever that's supposed to be. Just as Halo generally tries too hard when it comes to female characters as a whole.
