Because they can each stand out to someone. No literary work has been so seperated from rality that no man, even the author, found interest in it. : Is a photograph art? Some are considered art, others not. All are art. Whether they are considered art is a social matter and independent of the fact that they are art. : Is a video game art? Yes and no, some of the first of their kind were works : of art, IMHO. The first Zelda games, before anyone else did anything like : them. Perhaps the original Halo was a work of art. Certainly, I could say : that the vast majority of video games have nothing or not enough : uniqueness to them to be more than finely crafted. Right, because there is only one sky painting, or one forest painting, or one mountain painting, that is artful. No, repition and originality do not define art. After all, there is more than one great romance novel, more than one great murder movie, more than one great landscape. : Art is in the creativity and the inspiration of creativity. Craft is in the : methods and the proficiency in those methods. Art and craft are not : separate, they work together to create the final product. Art may be quantifiably greater in some works which are more creative and inspired, but it is present in all things. The only matter of dispute is how much art is present, a quantity which has a mathematical limit approaching zero.
