For what it's worth, I didn't mention theatre. ;) I'm not trying to stick to esoterica. I'm trying to be as concrete as possible. My given definition fits the criteria of a film or video game studio: the clear-cut artist would be the institution, through the use of individual artists' personal skills, culminating in a gradiose piece of art. More often than not, however, the original vision would break down to a single person — director or lead designer, etc. That's not the point. The point is that the artistic elements of the game — the audiovisual elements, and the design decisions — will originate from individuals. The person being the deliberate source of the artistic work, for an audience, is not skewed just because the individual pieces are required to be put together to form context and synergy that ultimately create the final piece.
