Stop posting and go the excellent, "Indigo Prophecy" (Farenhieght if your in Europe) right now. The plot gets wacky at times, but it fits your description to a T. For me at least, there was this sublime moment near the end of the game where I saw my decisions reflected in a character on screen, but it wasn't entirely me. I could also see the affect of the characters motivations crashing against mine. : That's the crux of the matter, in the end: Video games do not civilize us, : they do not build us up, they do not teach us morally by the act of : playing; a narrative offered outside the context of interactivity might do : that, but if that's the case, why not just make a movie? What of the games that give you that morale choice at let you feel the reprucusions. What of the fables, the Elder Scrolls or the black and whites where the game gives you moral reasons for your actions, asking you to look back inside and feel remorse for what you did? Another great example is Shadow of the colussus, where you feel damn guilty about the colussi you slay, it's a morale lesson Sorry for the rhetorical questions, but moral lessons exist in the act of playing for a multitude of games.
