Something is subjective when two people, completely seperate, can form equally valid, yet contradictory, opinions when presented the same experience. I know for a fact that two seperate people can form equally valid, yet contradictory, opinions on any painting in history. Thus, art is subjetive. : Someone being good at killing someone else does not make them an artist. In : this way, serial killers are artists. Serial killers often have : significant brain disorders that allow them to be as effective as they are : — antisocial tendencies, etc. Who is the artist in this case, when even : the serial killer himself cannot take full responsibility for the actions : of his murders, given that there was a predisposition to not valuing the : lives of others? Who is the audience in this situation, given that the : majority of humans find it morally repugnant? The artist is the killer. It is only the self-aware section of his mind that cannot take full responsibility. The audience, is everyone who learns of it, becuase, despite moral implications, they are interested. They enjoy learning of the incident in some manner, or they would take care to avoid learning of it.
