If it were, : then how are any of the halos still around (not to mention the ark, the : forerunner structures, and, well, everything)? Metal can withstand an explosion. Also - the monitors constantly talk about building/rebuilding. In fact, the halo they blow up at the end of H3 isnt' complete. Read GoO? That whole planet was made of sentinels and was still growing bigger. The AI the forerunner left behind kept making and repairing these structures through time...
