In Response To: On the Relationship Between Halos and Flood *long* (elpolloguapo) on the HSP, where he asks "So if the Halos can kill Flood, why did the Forerunners want to "starve" the Flood to death?" My theory on that is that it's not the flood as a whole that are starved-it's only the infection forms. I suspect (see below) that infection forms, and possible carriers as well, are not killed by the halos. However, combat forms and up are killed, and other sentient life is made immune to infection (possibly by a process like that of Boren's syndrome) and the pureforms and combat forms are made immune to resurrection. : So considering these things, what do the Halos do?
: -Kills all self-sentient life
