: The only way I can make sense of it, is if the Halo kills the Flood AND their : food. Jillybean posted something like the Array firing destroys every living thing's central nervous system, rendering them lifeless. The Flood have a central nervous sysem; so do Humans and the Covenant and (presumably) any sentient species. Therefore it simply indiscriminately kills everything sentient
