Well I can't argue with the facts. : Except that we've seen these equations before in a different dream terminal : pict and in a different context. Hmm, true. Still I don't think they are supposed to tie in with Kate's story. I always assumed it was just hinting that the virus was man made. : That is really going out on a limb. We know so little about the Jjaro that I : don't feel I can really say what their motives may be. They apparently : didn't even lift a finger when it came to the Pfhor conquest over the : S'pht, so why would they give a s--t about humankind? Perhaps the best : clue is in the AI Thoth, whose primary interest is in maintaining a : balance, as evidenced by his trying to help the Pfhor once he realized : that Durandal hadn't been destroyed in Marathon 2. If Thoth was a Jjaro : AI, as I believe, then they too may have been most interested in : maintaining balance. Getting us away from Pfhor Prime could help to : restore balance to the war, and preventing the Dangi corporation from : assuming control would prevent selfish corporate interests from : controlling an important segment of the galaxy. There ia probably a reason : for all of this that will make sense 500, 1000, 10,000 or 1,000,000 years : in the future. Fair enough, but then again according to the final screens for both planks we still end up destroying the Pfhor, so if the Jjarro are obsessed with balance they should help the Pfhor don't you think? : BTW, sock, I didn't realize that you're from Australia. I've only scratched : the surface in my one visit to your country (my wife has a childhood pen : friend, and has been there 3 times), but the view of the Opera House from : the Sidney Zoo has got to be one of the most magnificent urban vistas : anywhere in the world. It's a great view isn't it, the Opera House might look strange from other views but it's perfect there. Likewise I've only been to the US once and we didn't do any tourist things, believe it or not we went to Texas (my father's family is from there). I hope to dispel a common myth here; it's Sydney, not Sidney. Louis Wu, Hamish and now you have spelt it wrong :)
