Re: Can Flood Infect Machines?
Posted By: DonDate: 5/8/08 3:36 p.m.

: Some of that (I only read the Covie combat form, bit) has been been debunked
: by the Halo 3 Shotgun's Halo Universe entry. Your article says:
: "but reliance on the host life support systems render it vulnerable
: to shotgun blasts."

: The HU had a bit says: “The action I saw against the Flood on Delta Halo was
: pretty limited—thankfully—and you would think that the M90 would be the
: ultimate anti-Flood weapon, right? Except that a shotgun is effective
: because it delivers a massive shock to a delicately balance system of
: organs and the Flood don’t have that delicately balanced system of
: organs—it’s like shooting a mike foxtrot tree! All you can really hope to
: do is disassemble them as rapidly as possible in the correct order.”

I think it's more of a huge force that rips the stretched and deformed tissue apart. I don't see the Flood as being held together very well.
