: If the Gravemind can tap into the teleportation grid on Halo, could a flood : parasite form infect and take control of a robot, like a sentinal? Afaik, the Flood works on a purely biological level, so they have no recorded instances of really 'infecting' machinery directly. They require a host with the correct memories to manually operate machinery such as vehicles. By infected, I'm not sure if you mean the ability of a Gravemind to force an A.I. into rampancy. They are infected in a sense, but not assimilated as most hosts are. The Sentinals would be pretty crummy anti-Flood weapons if they were as susceptible as biologicals, so I your question answers itself.
