| Great Theory, a couple of thoughts though | |

In Response To: My Theory on the Legendary Ending *kinda long* (Neloms) Ok, time travel, have we all learnt any lessons form back to the future? hehehe So the Chief and Cortana end up back in time.
Would it be
B) Knowing what you know about the rings future history and having the knowledge of Cortana's final solution. Would the Chief and Cortana try and prevent future Covenant/Human/Flood war. So here's my thought on these ideas Ok, A) would be interesting in terms of the Chief is almost the forerunners holding pattern for the 100,000 years or however long it is. And because of this, all the actions of that period of time are predetermined. If the chief died before firing the rings then, the Forerunner/Flood war would still be on-going in 2552. But would the chief die after firing the array? and B) so if the mission is to prevent the halo rings form ever firing, wouldn't this alter the future, and possibly the Chief would have never been born. Another thought is Cortana, what part would she play in this? Will she become rampant? and could that have an effect on the mission
