(DanteThePoet) : Even so, if they really meant to symbolize rape than I believe that it is : completely misplaced and misguided in the confines of the game. Bungie didn't need to have intended it to symbolize rape - since they are immersed in a social context, societal values/meaning can be expressed in their work without their conscious intention. And since we're also immersed in a social context, we can interpret latent messages or values that may be similarly unintended.
