The Cortana letters came directly from the people who created Halo. That's why they're remembered, that's why they're still referred to, that's why they endure to this day. If the Cortana letters had turned out to be a piece of fan fiction that had absolutely nothing to do with the Halo that we all played, they'd have been forgotten in less than a week, as all fan fiction is. The fact that they came from the people who created and knew Halo's story is what gave them their true value. While I agree the Enkidu terminals are well written and fun to read etc. etc., to compare this "experience" to what we got from the Cortana letters is WAY off the mark.

Anton, I enjoyed reading the Enkidu terminals. You obviously worked hard on them and I suppose that's to be commended. But I hold that you -haven't- given us "the Cortana letters for Halo 2." It simply isn't possible for you to do that. The only people who can do that are the people who created Halo 2's story. Thanks for the amusing diversion, though.
