Maybe Kelly(or Linda?) comes back and kills Cortana in the end when she double crosses John......that'd be cooooool. ;) All good points here, from everyone, and I think we're going down a "good story" road. Cortana being corrupt sounds like it'd be future canon. Is Halsey still alive? Could she be in contact somehow with Cortana? I think the unusually strong construct in the Covenant system could be an adapted version of one or more of the fragmented copies of Cortana from when she destroyed that Covie outpost(from First Strike?). Anyway you look at it, I think Cortana is gonna get it in the end. No pun intended.;) -Bigjooj
