In Response To: Re: Cortana the immortal one (Blazorax) : Say, how come Cortana didn't make High Charity go boom at the end of Halo2? She : did say she would, and if she doesnt, the Flood will have a giant spacestation
High Charity's powersource is gone. Chief left on it, remember? Now that the ship is running on "Low power" and probably an Emergency Power Generator/s, (more likely for a ship of it's size). The most they can do is board some Covenant space-craft. What's worrisome is that some fools might just be outside High Charity STILL going at it with plasma torpedo volleys trying to kill one another. Come on, anyone could see it coming. Easy picking for the Flood, who'll take it SOMEWHERE. At that point it's either roulette depending on if they updated the ship's maps with the location of Earth, because I'm sure they supplied it with their own homeworld/s, and who Gravemind hates more or feels there's more of (way more likely, he wants food and I don't think we pissed him off...YET), us or them. Odds ARE in our favors. They did, after all, wipe out every colony not based in the Solar System. Then again...there is that ship that Halfjaw claimed he was going to secure during the Great Journey. Hope he's smart enough to get everyone who matters off Halo and jump to Earth ASAP. If the Flood have no transportation, then they will be contained...for now. And Cortana? The immortality is more than likely what mostly influenced her to stay...but the question is if she lives on thanks to Gravemind, will she be controlled by him by this process. And if she is indeed "reborn" without memory of anything, it's good and bad. Good that her data on Earth has been erased, bad that there will be such a thing as a FLOOD AI. |
