Doubt it. Something I've noticed about Traviss's tie-in works (not just 'Halo') is that her own characters tend to get top billing and/or pre-existing characters that aren't that major. As a fanfic writer (yes, laugh it up), I can understand that desire. But either way, I doubt we'll see much from the Arbiter's POV. : Its strange, I thought that there would be more sympathy for the : insurrectionists amongst American fans because of America's past history : as a rebellious colony but this doesn't seem to be the case. Is it just : too long ago for anyone to really care that much about it? Is 9/11 a more : powerful influence? I'm Australian myself, so I can't comment overmuch. I don't want to project on American culture, but while I'm aware of the cultural backdrop of the War for Independence, I've also noticed that the US has more of an...infatuation?, with the military than what I'm used to in locations such as Australia or New Zealand (pretty much a second home for me). Again, I mean no offense with this, but considering the tactics the Insurrection is willing to use in-universe, it doesn't exactly have a moral highground in them. And I think in-universe, there's been more of a push to imply that the Innies are the 'bad guys' at the end of the day. Nothing on the level of 'Glasslands', but you get what I mean. :Nylund does address the issue of necessity. He even has Halsey do her own analysis and come to :her independent conclusion that it IS necessary. The UNSC had done their own study and had, :independently, come to the same conclusion as Halsey. Nobody was the instigator. Might have been necessary for military force, don't think child abduction was necessarily part of the solution. Would have saved lives in the long run I guess.
