HL2 did however lend itself to the "There's only one : solution to every situation, please walk this way." kind of gameplay. : Mass Effect kept the player engaged by having them interact in every : cutscene through the dialogue option box which kept it fresh. Also every : bit of dialogue out of your character's mouth was a paraphrasing of what : you clicked on. That blew my mind. The biggest moment in that game for me : was choosing Williams or Kaidan(Carth :P). That was pushing the envelope, : destruction style! : Half Life 2 (I've only played the main game, no Episodes) was amazing - : that's what utilisation of HAVOK is meant to turn out. Mass Effect was : also brilliant for the designers managing such an epic scale. : Unbelievable. Thanks for the thoughts! We have similar taste in games, which is always fun to know. You really need to play Half-Life's episodes and Portal. And Portal? What's that? It's part of the Half-Life universe?
