Meaning the dreadnought passed close enough to those planets that the planet and ship could be seen....highly unlikely. Star Trek did the same with the Borg invasion of Earth in The Best of Both Worlds. All the planets were aligned that day apparently! It was done for story purposes to show the progression of the enemy into the solar system. I suspect that's the intent here too. It's not terribly difficult to find the actual planetary alignment for Oct 2552.
