In Response To: Re: Clarification. Slight Extrapolation. Expansion (General Vagueness) : From what I've heard (as in in-game dialogue, both cutscene-type and : combat-type), it has the most... "gritty", shall we say, : dialogue of any Halo game yet. I think I was spoiled by Battlestar Galactica. When I think gritty, I think of that series. Or of old-school Hard-Boiled Detective stories. Most of the dialogue just didn't flow, and characters were lost. In later missions, I kept getting the voices of Buck and Mickey mixed up in my head. They just weren't very distinct characters within the game. This is a side effect of the faceless Chief scenario - I'm not sure if the writers are used to creating characters that you can connect with. I'm not even going to mention Dare. She was frustrating. While being on par with Halo 3 (In my opinion, slightly better) it still didn't offer up the kind of depth that I expected or would have liked. It was a step in the right direction, overall storywise. The quality of the writing suffered dramatically, though.
