They are more than I expected from a Halo game. I almost cringed myself into the foetal position listening to Johnson. The problem is that the writers were too busy working jokes into their work than actually developing character. Buck's line about Earth being glassed - amazing. Why the Hell couldn't they have worked more into it? Romeo was a blank slate and they just made him into a womanising smart-ass. If they wanted to develop his character, he should have shouldered Mickey or someone away from the Chieftain, before later taking the hit. They gave the troopers characteristics, and assumed that gave them character. It really hurts my brain to consider how an actual writer would view the script...
