Interesting write up in Games magazine about games trying to be movies and how most games now feel like 80's action films. Yet every time I read an article on the subject of game narratives, there are never any ideas how to push the medium. It is a subject that fascinates me as to how to push story and gameplay together. ODST felt like an hour TV show to me, thereby negating any real need to fill the game with too much depth. I enjoyed it as a fun side story with non-essential characters. A friend of mine said it was Halo's 'Caravan of courage'. Don't know if that's a good thing really... -Hedge.
