There is a video out there somewhere that shows the differences between Halo 1 and Halo 3 melee damage. In Halo 3, the player melees directly above the hitbox, over the side of it, and 5 feet away and receives a hit every time. Wear as in Halo 1 the player had to hit the Spartan directly, and be relatively close to receive a hit. I'm not saying that Reach should go back to the Halo 1 melee system, god knows it had its own problems, but the one implemented in 3 is just way too damn easy. Also, they say that certain weapons cause more damage when used in melee, but honestly I never see any noticeable difference. It is always two melees and your dead. I think it should be more like three with pistol and small weapons, and two with bladed (Brute shot, Spiker, ect...) and larger weapons. Also, no game-breaking weapons/equipment. I want to play matchmaking with ALL the weapons, and be able to use them in ALL the maps. Though I think Bungie have learned their lesson on that one already.
