If you would would like a practical change, suggest it. I would have to say that Reach should get rid of the melee lunge. If you are within range of an enemy and melee, it would hit, but you shouldn't be able to smash it and have the game pull you to your enemy to make contact. Look how Battlefield 1943 used it. It works perfectly in that game. If you are near your enemy, and facing him, you will stab him with your bayonet. I agree with your idea that it should revert to the old setting that Halo 3 had. I honestly believe melee damage should be lessened, and the melee tie system scrapped. I liked the old system better, where the person who had more health would win.
