Okay. There are still a few things that are bugging me about the Halo story ark. I will confess that I have not yet finished contact harvest, or fully analyzed all the terminals, so if it's answered there, then just let me know without spoiling it. Regret's premature arival: First of all, why was this "premature"? Why was it that Truth had to wait before going to Earth? Why did the Covenant not expect humans on Earth? It seemed strange then, but even stranger now. The Covenant Construct: What was the covenant construct Cortana mentions in High Charity? It was "fighting back" and "unusually formidable". She specifically says it's a covenant construct. So… what was it? Last time you asked me: What am I supposed to make of 343GS's speech on Two betrayals, when he tells the MC (or Cortana as some people think): "Last time, you asked me, if it was my choice, would I do it? Having considerable time to ponder your query, my answer has not changed."
