: A good theory, but the only problem is; how did Cortana know about the ark? : I wouldn't put it past her to keep it a secret if she did, but when/how did : she? Its unlikely she learned about it from installation 04. Her plan depended on knowing that the Ark had a replacement Halo and was outside of range. Sparky didn't know that. Did she find out from Truth's records? From MB or GM? Did Truth know about the Ark before he got to Earth? If so, how did he find out? How did Regret know about earth? Remember, Regret went to earth before Sparky was captured. Its unlikely that MB knew where Earth was and its even more unlikely that he would tell Truth or Regret (the guys that wanted to exterminate MB's MAKERS). Earth was never part of the Forerunner civ. It was discovered just before array activation. Nevertheless I think that we are supposed to believe that the Hierarchs found a pointer to earth in Forerunner artifacts found on nearby systems. What do you think? Have I missed a source of information?
