In Response To: Wahhhh. Halo3 isnt a exact replica of Halo1 in HD. *NM* (Dojorkan) To Rockslider: I know that you're a big-name fan for the reason that you take time and care about your work, whether it's a statement comparing H1 and H2 or a new way to set up a megabattle, and I can understand your opinion that Halo 1 was better than its sequels, but you, like every other H1 fanboy out there, seem to be mostly finding faults with Halo 3 just for the sake of finding faults. As Dojorkan said, we all knew H3 and H1 were *just not going to be the same thing.* Which is why I find it unreasonable for you to complain about everything in the same way: "Back in the day of Halo 1 we didn't have jackal snipers/aliens that spoke english/draw distance problems/too many grenades/equipment/stupid AI/vehicle-dependent areas/whatever." I know that your intention isn't to sound like a crybaby, but that's honestly how you're coming across to me. Halo 3 isn't Halo 1, and we knew that would be the case right from the beginning. And it doesn't help that a few of your points don't entirely stand up when critically examined. In Halo 1, indeed, we had no draw distance problems, because the game was so graphically--well, boring--that half the level could practically be loaded at once. What we did have were enemies that spawned visibly in front of your eyes and could often be seen to freeze for a couple of seconds when you first saw them before their AI turned on. The stupid AI? They don't come much dumber than they were in Halo 1, frankly. The dependence on vehicles? Halo 1 had it all the time on more than one level: I mean, footing it all the way through AotCR or Halo is hardly my idea of a good time. This isn't a rant against you in particular, but a lot of bigger-name fans seem to have been coming forward recently and outlining all the ways in which Halo 3 does not satisfy them. And you know what? Mostly, those reasons can be summarized exactly as Dojorkan said: "Baaaaw, Halo 3 isn't Halo 1 in HD." Myself, I like Halo 3 and Halo 2 and Halo 1 just fine. Which one am I playing today? Halo 1, because my Shitbox 360 is RRoDed. But which one will I be playing when I get my 360 back? You better believe it'll be H3.
