Even on Legendary, the Jackals give you a second or two before they fire. (Sometimes you can't appreciate that time, because it starts before you see them - but almost always, it's because you're looking the wrong way.) My reflexes are WAY slower than almost everyone here, and even *I* can nail these guys on Legendary, if I'm careful. Yes, it means moving a little slower in areas that have shown themselves to be home to snipers - but I, for one, think that varied pace is a GOOD thing. Sometimes, You can barrel through an area, jumping in with both guns blazing. Other times, that tactic will get you killed, 100% of the time. I'd be bored if the entire game asked for the same tactics in all situations. You're right, though - this is COMPLETELY a matter of opinion, and for those who don't like it, no amount of argument is going to make them like it. I think the point that a bunch of people are trying to make, though, is that it's no longer inherently unfair - which it was in Halo 2. You have a chance, and it's not one that requires huge amounts of luck. You might not LIKE the playstyle you need to adopt to get through, but you can't really argue (as you could in parts of Halo 2) that they're unfair.
