Umm. That doesn't make any sense.

Microsoft has every right to dictate EXACTLY how you use their intellectual property or to stop you from using it all together. The fact that the restrictions they are putting on are the kind that most people would agree with actually makes it more reasonable.

(And, it's really nothing like using a videocamera or paints or whatever to create an expression of your own. There is no impression, for example, that Sony supports pornography if you film some on your Sony Handicam (it's not even clear int he final product that you DID film it on your Sony Handicam); but if you have a machinima with Master Chief saying that he hates Jews (or, say, a Hamas propaganda film using Halo music, which actually happened), that creates an association and makes it look like MC and MS support that viewpoint.)
