In Response To: Hope this doesn't harm anything major... (Dustbunny27) Bungie will stop making the Halo games, yet MS wants to do more with the Halo IP. Sounds like they'd have to be more protective of the IP. They wont be making money by making new Halo the fps games so they have to 'protect' the IP to continue milking it. OTOH I think that MS believe that community envolvement is a good thing. OTOH MS is a big company and several groups within MS could be in favor of community creations and several others could be opposed. Considering the size of MS its a surprise that it gives any appearance of cohesion. Bungie has some clout with Halo because they lay the golden eggs. But they'll soon stop laying them.
