In Response To: Re: On the RTS (Bry) You guys have talked about RPGs and RTSs and all, but one genre that would seriously kick ass is the RTT: it's perfect. You're not too close that it ressembles too much Halo the FPS, and you're not just sitting back watching thousands of identical marine sprites killing wierd elites (they look nice, but they're starving - look at those bellies lol). Imagine, you could be 117 or any other S-II, leading a team of 4 or 5 Spartans on any mission where you're the leader: you receive orders but when you're on the terrain you choose. The perfect mix, it's not the FPS point A to point B, and it's not the RTS God watching down on Earth (or any other planet). Now Hawaiian Pig I understand your fears for this game, and I too prefer doing rather than watching, but my brother is a great fan of A&E and from the few bits that I've seen, it looks not bad at all; and you've got to admit the trailer rocked (only missed Marty..). Of course HW is already playable and will ship as a X360 RTS, so some may wonder why I'm even talking of this, but PJ's also making something (even if it's been said that it would be a completely new genre, we never know: TFoR would look so cool!); and Halo's such a cash cow that Microsoft will never stop. After X360, what could be better than an nth Halo game for their next console in a few years.
