What I wanna know is why the completely rehauled the system after halo 1? I understand revamping a game already on the market, but why did they change everything so much from halo 1? If it aint' broke don't fix it, and halo 1 certainly wasn't broke, in fact probably the closest thing to perfection on a console we have seen. The reason: the pistol, and powerups respawning ensured that one team never had complete control and you always had a chance. The pistol may have been too versatile, but simply taking away its scope (not that i ever used it) and making it a 4 shot kill or even a 4 headshot kill would aleviate this somewhat. The BR isn't bad, but its almost to easy to use, or doesn't work like it should if your offhost. I just hate how in Halo 2 I get killed and I either wonder how it happend or just knew there was nothing I could do about it. In halo 1 I always knew if I died it was my fault. Sure sometimes deaths were unavoidable, but I never was screaming at my TV or completely awed by how i managed to die. Halo 2 has more frustrating things happen in it everygame then ever happend in my entire time playing halo 1. The rewarding things in halo 2 come from three things for me: Winning, sticking, and no scoping with the sniper. Thats it, everything else is too easy or repetitive. I recently stopped playing h2, less then a year after its release. I may pick it up again, i may not, but h1 kept my attention until the release of h2. There was a reason, I constantly felt like I was getting better and when you pulled off that amazing play you felt rewarded, and wanted to continue to play, that rarely happens in h2. Don't get me wrong, I like both games, and idealy I wish they could be combined to form more of a team game taht also revolves around coordinated skill. I'm hoping H3 does, but will I even purchase a 360 to find out? Dunno, I better hear damn good things about some other games because otherwise I'm not shelling out 300 bucks for a game that could turn out to be worse then its predecesor, which is exactly what I think happend in h2.
