I half expected that to happen in Halo the first time I played it. I would like to go back to a PP that feels solidly based on physics and having it break if you keep it overcharged seems fair and reasonable. It also adds consequences and keeps you on your toes, little extra polishes that make the game shine. In addition, maybe the gun loses battery charge as its overcharged so, again, there is a price for holding that trigger down.
