Depending on what game you are playing that would be stupid. Come to think of it, no matter what game your in that is still stupid. True power weapons can give you or your team a lead if used competently, but you still have to play hard to maintain that lead.

Funny, I thought quality determined popularity. The better the quality, as Halo 1 and 2 has, the greater the popularity.

Let me see, a head shot by a sniper can kill anyone no matter what level they are, not leading someone may be attributed to lag, vehicles are naturally harder to kill than a person on foot, and if both players just stand still then yes the person who shoots first will win that's why you have to move around, keeping your opponent's target reticle off you for a few seconds can make a difference or just retreat to grab another weapon or let your shields recharge will help.

Ha! First, the RL lock on feature only applies to vehicles, when dealing with people on foot the RL is the same as it was in Halo 1. Second, no matter what your view on balanced or unbalanced games are a magnum should not be as powerful as a RL or vice versa, that's the point of different weapons some will be more powerful than others. Halo 2 would truely be a "whoever shoots first wins" game if every weapon had the speed and range of a sniper rifle and the damage power of a RL. The only skill you could practice would be dodging.

I think you miss the point of what Louis was saying.

I think that the skill in halo rises to the challenge for the guy with the sword to cross that long distance to get close enough with the sniper to kill him, which I've done and seen been done.
