I was just trying to : point out that you can take power weapons completely out of the game...not : necessarily as a killing advantage, but as a control mechanism to never : allow the other team the option of getting it ever. I.E. : why even have : it on the map? Hehe, hasn't the Halo 1 magnum been described many times as a "great equalizer?" Look at the resulting shitstorm when they took that out of the game. ;-) As far as power weapons unbalancing maps, all I know is that if I got the sniper on Coagulation, it'd mean jack to my team as I'd still be dead within 15 seconds. There might be an advantage to the high-level players, but as Wu said, they're in a such a small boat that it would be silly to balance the game for their skills, while ignoring the fantastically, tremendously larger group of normal, "prone to mistakes" players like me and 80% of the people reading this.
