What I disagree with is his presentation of the game itself as : 'broken', and his use of absolutes ("you cannot kill the banshee : without a rocket launcher") to make his points. : It's crappy journalism - it's even crappy opinion writing, if coming from a : professional. : I have no problem whatsoever with folks stating that they like Halo better : than Halo 2. (I think it's a little silly when some of them add comments : like "almost everyone that played Halo 1 agrees on that" - but : that's another subject altogether.) What I had a problem with was his : PRESENTATION of the issue. : I stated this in the VERY FIRST POST I made in response to someone commenting : on my news post. I've said it several times SINCE then. And STILL you come : here and tell me that I don't concede that any of his suggestions might be : valid. : READ WHAT I WRITE BEFORE YOU CONDEMN ME FOR IT. Thanks. He backs up all his points with evidence, and he even says Halo 2 is a good game at the end. I'm also sure you've beaten people better then you in halo 2, but in halo 1 it happend a lot less or the skill gap was much less then you let on. The point I'm trying to get across is that skill played a much larger role in halo 1, and upsets still happend, but far less frequently the halo 2 which is almost the norm. Less skilled players beating their superiors on semi-regular basis IS a flaw in gameplay. I don't see why bungie is so scaired of skilled weapons, is your ranking system works, then you'll never be playing anyone that is so much better with weapons then you that it would affect your gaming experience in such a negative way that you don't wanna play, and if it is, I think your taking the game a little too seroiusly.
