It's not silly. Funny that you say that. You should go look a a fan version of halo 2. It's called Halo 2 Combat Evolved. It has actually been modded to fix alot of the problems that my comunity has. Everything mentioned as far as spawn timers and weapons has been tweaked. It's not hard, just a sutbtle change here and there. The 1.1 version of halo 2 is also a form of tweak. Man...I'm not saying rebuild the game. I'm saying continue to tweak it.

If somebody with no ties to bungie or thier programing base can learn and eventually fix these things. Why can't they? You say this game has had the most alterations of any console game. I agree, thats one thing that keeps me around. It can be fixed. Can't you see how console games are looking more and more like PC games. PC games get fixed all of the time. Games are redeveloped based on what thier customers want. It's a good thing.

Midship argument:

Grenades become a power weapon! Yes why not? They take skill to weild properly. Instead of a sword single handedly winning every FFA. Some one with good aim and grenades good go on a tear!. Avg life is so short that everyone would start with grenades anyway. If everyone has them, it goes back to skill.

Plasma Rifle:

I think you meant Plasma Rifle(Not Pistol). Why not change only the brute version to stun and make it non dualable? You could leave the dualing blue elite one in the game.

I think that some people have a bad outlook at what we want to change. It's the subtlety of Halo CE that made this franchise! If halo 2 would have came first without all the hype, I doubt it would have sold a gagillion copies. It was Halo CE that made Halo 2. The worst thing for me was this... "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" Line from Bungie in all thier glorious wisdom. They changed everything, and lost the little edge that Made halo a GREAT game. (Not just a good game).
