In Response To: Halo 2 Matchmaking: Setting a precedent (nof)
I dont have time before work to read all those, but I definitely agree with the first few posts. The only thing I wanted to add, which may have been said before (sorry), was about what I thought you intended to say to begin with. Matchmaking almost inevitably leads to anger, yes, but not only in the way that is detailed above. Another blow is that there is little to no possible way to keep on winning. Play and play and play, but eventually you will reach your rank, where you start to lose regularly and win only on flukes, instead of the other way around. There will always be freaks better than you (referring to the vast majority of players who are casual/not as serious as said freaks), and if you get to their level, they'll beat you down.
You CAN play until you get that good, but you have to be pretty damn diehard to do that. The game is only really fun when you win (or come close with a friendly opposing team), and suprisingly frustrating when you dont. So I say, to avoid the frustration of constant losing, know your limit and then kick back and play some training or custom!
