In Response To: Re: Halo 2 Matchmaking: Setting a precedent (gregnnn) If they had used the traditional OptiMatch system, I think it would have worked out better. Sure maps would be overplayed, now that I've played most of the maps I can truly say I would not play only one map: Foundation. Whoever thought that 2 rocket launchers was a good idea was wrong, especially when one team has both. I love the party system, it makes everything easier. The problem with H2 is the skill curve is so small. It's all about who has the better guns now. That, I think takes the fun factor out of it significantly. I get really irritated when I die because I don't have 2 SMGs, and then I lose rank to lower level players because they dual wield more than I do. The matchmaking system makes me more frustrated than I have ever been at a videogame. I shout and curse as much as the rest of you during LAN parties, but God, Halo 2 is annoying.
