Then go mid-range... dual weilders are powerful in the close range but sacrifice a lot of mid-range power. If used single-wielded and in short bursts, the SMG can be surprisingly accurate in shortish mid-range. Or plasma-stick and run... even the best guy with dual SMGs needs a few seconds on target to finish you, and if you just pop out, stick, and pop back he won't be able to clear a LOS on you before the kaboom. Or time a frag bounce with headshots from the SMG.
