In Response To: Halo 2 Matchmaking: Setting a precedent (nof) Man, what a great post. Kudos to you man. That sums up my feeling exactly, except for that I'm on the other end of this phenomenon. I don't play much XBL at all, because I really don't have much time anymore, but when I do log on, everyone that I would like to party with is ranked far above me, and I would most certainly drag the party down because they're playing higher ranked people. I personally don't like the whole rank setup at all. At a lan, we would have people that were very good, some that were ok, and others that maybe had played a few times. It was great. You played as a team, and you had to play smart. We would assign the newbies jobs they could handle, and use our more skilled players to their best advantage. This (nof's argument) has really been what's kept me from logging on to XBL when I do occasionally have time. More often than not, I'll crank up some campaign for an hour or so because I know I can have a good time. Hm, I didn't intend to type that much. Short version: ditto what nof said. ;) JH <><
