In Response To: Re: Halo 2 Matchmaking: Setting a precedent (Agony) I think that the mentality that you will win 1 out of every 2 games once you've reached your true rank is false. If you're still winning, that means you haven't reached your true rank (based on the ranking logic in a vaccum). Your true rank occurs when you consistently place 4th or 5th in EVERY game. When you beat as many people as beat you. That means you don't move up or down anymore. This philosophy of never winning a game might be frustrating, but the point of any game is to get better at it, right? So you play more, and then raise your plateau. But eventually, you will come to rest in the middle of every game, neither winning nor losing any games. Unless I've got it wrong, which has happened before.... |
