I think a point is made that there are other Spartans. I think Mendez would have finished training a few Spartans after being away for several decades. Considering that Bungie had Nicole in DOA 4 and Maria is there seems to indicate that not every Spartan is from that orginal batch. Before you try to say, "Well the DOA 4 story doesn't count," does it actually make any sense for Bungie to put out a Spartan with a number of 458 when we know there were only 150 subjects considered for the program? Perhaps there are other Spartans that aren't necessarilly known to everyone. After all, they were such a success it would be a little odd for them to just end the program with 30 Spartans. After all even Keyes said if he could he'd take way more, somewhere in the thousands I think. I doubt he's the only one that was thinking that. Keep in mind that everything about the Spartan program is shrouded in lies and secrecy. We have no idea who knows what and what is really going on. However, I think Bungie has been making subtle hints that there are more than the 30 original Spartan-IIs. Or may there's some bullcrap Spartan IIA thing going on. | |
