In a non-offensive and completely general way - I have never read a tie-in novel that I've thought was A) good or B)actually enjoyed. I may read 'Ghosts of Coral', but only because I'll never understand what people are rambling about if I don't. I do have high hopes for Halo 3's story though, but I'm one of the rare few who thought Halo 2 had an involving story. I prefered the epicness of Halo 2 compared to the singular nature of Halo. Halo 2 was looking below the iceberg and introducing the Covenant, I enjoyed that. I do miss the isolationist feeling of Halo 1, but that was a one off feeling that you can't recapture in a trilogy, in my not-so-humble opinion. |
