In Response To: I actually partially agree with you. (Spartan Jag) : Don't get me wrong, great art, great job broadening the scope of the Halo

: Again, don't get me wrong, I loved the HGN, but in my opinion, the thing

: I still love it though, but you probably get that already. :) : -Jag Go ahead and piss off comic book fans the world over. Indeed graphic novels often cost more than standard written novels. I think that's how it should be. Also, it's something you can get a lot out of. You can read these stories in a jiffy and you can just go oooooo and ahhhh at the artwork. You can get more out of a graphic novel than a written novel. A written novel is a literary piece of art. A graphic novel is far more. It is visual and literary art. With the HGN you get the added bonus of not having just one or two artists for the whole thing, but four, not to mention the art gallery. I'm not downplaying the novels, but if I have 15 minutes to burn I won't burn it reading 10 pages of a novel that will just leave me unfulfilled, I'll read the HGN and get a whole story with loads of eye candy. |
