I don't quite understand why it didn't meet your expectations. "Last Voyage" explains how Half-Jaw was injured. "Armor Testing" gives the story behind the Chief's new armor. I always wondered what it was doing in Songnam in the first place (because of what Master Gunns says in the beginning of Halo 2). I thought "Second Sunrise" explained a lot, too. We learned about why Mombasa is empty in the game, the lives of civilians (something I really wanted to see), and how the public views the war. To me, the graphic novel fleshed out a lot of game elements. "Breaking Quarantine" didn't give any new information, though. I don't know why they chose to put that in instead of another story. The art was great, but I pretty much figured that Johnson escaped the Flood by running away. : What the graphic novel gave me was the start of 3 stories. I bought a book,
Why exactly do you feel there was an incomplete story? What would have made you feel that it was complete? As I stated before, I thought most of the stories worked just fine on their own. They didn't really need to be expanded upon. I'm not arguing with you, so please don't take it that way. I just don't understand where you're coming from, and need it explained a little more. |
